Fiber to my prem!

Yesterday my home was connected to the real interweb superhighway, via a fancy fiber optic connection from Verizon.

I was forced to downgrade my speed to 5mb from the 8-10mb connection Comcast was providing, but I am saving a few bucks a month and it's not Comcast...

No TV service in Oregon yet. I am sure that it's coming soon, but Verizon is probably dealing with franchise issues. So far so good, a steady 5mb down and 2mb up.
